For all those who have been to Africa and have volunteered, or done some work there.
Did you have to get shots/vaccinations to enter the country?...As a beleiver, we do not do vaccines. We plan on going to Africa to help out the lessfortunate and Orphans in a few monts. And while everything seems to be lining up for us, this is our stumbling block- as we do not know how to go about this.
Any suggestions? Any advice?...help. We need an answer soon.
thank you.

Hello Yahcilla,
ReplyDeleteYou must go based on your own convictions. However, as most points of our lives, we are little children needing to be taught and led by the Holy Spirit. As we hear things, we ask to be able to judge righteously.
With that said, I would ask you, the Creator has given us many things to survive on this planet, one being food to eat, herbs of the field, water. Our Savior told us, man shall not live by bread alone. Would you test your faith by discontinuing to eat food and drink water?
I have had to make similar decisions regarding vaccinations. My position is that I don't want to rely on them due to the fact that I believe many are simply poisonous and bad for our body. But sometimes there is a point to guarding us from infection. There are natural means of doing this. Does this mean that a natural method is more righteous than a synthetic or man-made solution? Maybe, but not necessarily.
One could say, I'm going to rely on the Father to protect me from any harm when in reality, what He provides us here on Earth may be what He gives us to protect.
Would I walk out into a lightening storm on faith and say that He will protect me based on my faith? I probably wouldn't. But it doesn't mean that there wouldn't be other occasions that I could completely walk out on faith and cast my fears aside.
